Hi. I’m Juliette. I write. I strategize on content. I report. I don’t sing. I love bikes.

My first “real” job was as a print reporter, a career I nurtured for a decade. It was my job to simply be curious. I loved it. Later, I realized it was my job to hold powerful people accountable. (Ask me about the numerous times the sheriff’s office wanted to sue my paper.) I learned to embrace perspectives: Defense attorneys, victims, and, well, the mother of the man who murdered.

I was recruited into a PR role after sensitively covering a child’s death in foster care. As the PIO, I learned how social workers work, and how valuable their work is to society. I knew we needed a new website to communicate that, so I built one.

Taking an interest in social media — a new thing in 2008 — I created a conference and secured funding from the local community college, where I later taught. It was an amazing opportunity to introduce people to a new concept in communications and marketing.

For the rest of the story, and to learn about the impact I’ve had for organizations, read my resume.
